Work study: Does Not have
to be repaid, you work in exchange for a grant, the college
assist you in locating a job, usually
on campus.
Loans: Must be repaid.
Carefully evaluate the loans you accept, read all repayment
terms and understand the interest rates. This is particularly
true of graduate students who already have loans form college.
Do everything in your power to keep college loans to a minimum.
know your deferral time, and know when your loan repayment
starts. You must defer your school loans yearly if you are
still enrolled in school. Stay in contact with your loan
source, in case you need to extend your deferment.
